About Nadia

The passion for creating with your hands

For as long as I can remember, using my hands to create has been my great passion. Painting, modelling, planting, cooking... When I see a material or a space, I always imagine how to transform it. Sinking my hands into the earth, into flour; mixing colours; opening spaces for the air and the sun to come in: that defines my essence.

My artistic roots and the shift towards the unknown

I am Nadia. I was born in Milan in 1959, into a family of artists. My father was a musician, and although he wanted a more conventional future for me, I always had other plans. I eventually managed to enroll at the Hajech Artistic Lyceum in Milan, where I graduated. However, when I began my Fine Arts studies at the Brera Academy, I felt that Milan was suffocating me. At the time, the city seemed grey, cold and hostile. I used to say that I needed a generous portion of heaven. So I made a radical decision: I left the studio I had rented and bought a one-way ticket to New York, with the idea of going to Brazil. It was 1977, and I had just turned 19.

The discovery of jewelry art in Brazil

It was in Brazil that my destiny began to take shape. There I met two Spanish guys who were traveling with a small jewelry workshop. One day they showed me some precious stones they had bought in Minas Gerais, and it was love at first sight. Those transparent, pure and vibrant colors captivated me. At that moment I decided that I would learn the art of jewelry making. With all my determination, I started working to make that dream a reality. I wrote down in my diary every tool I needed, every technique I learned, and I started to build my path.

Menorca: my refuge and inspiration

I was still missing my long-awaited slice of heaven. Years later, I found it in Menorca. Here I found my refuge, my fixed point. This place is pure beauty and light: the sea, the rocks, the flowers, the vegetables in the garden, the wind that draws shapes in the sky... Everything inspires me and is reflected in my creations. My jewellery has evolved over time to be more organic, soft and sinuous, like the nature that surrounds me.

International recognitions and collaborations

I have been fortunate to participate in numerous international fairs, such as Eclat de Mode in Paris, Macef in Milan, Eurobijoux in Madrid, Bread & Butter in Barcelona and Sebime in Mahón. In addition, I have collaborated on handbag, shoe and jewellery design projects with big names such as Iñaki Sampedro, Jaime Mascaró, Chaverdi and Pou Nou.

Gratitude towards those who have made my path possible

I am deeply grateful to all of my clients and followers, who over the years have made it possible for me to live the life I love.
