What summer 2019! I enjoy a lot working in Menorca in all those projects I left unfinished. The light in Menorca is just magical. The essence of those lands makes you levitate in a creative bubble, and it is when I enjoy carving marès stone.

I started making the third sculpture of a new series, composed of twelve pieces. Each one shows a woman posture representing one of the months. "March".

When I was still carving the first phase of the stone, I found something strangely hard inside. There is always fossil shells and bits of fossils in these beautiful "mares" stones. But this was something much harder!

Then I started carving around this hidden treasure, and it happened to be a shark teeth fossil. Mako's teeth. A stunning piece of nature hidden for centuries in that bit of stone. I love it.

I finished "Marzo" and sold it straight to a French family visiting the island on holiday. I miss her.
